A Smile States Who You Are!

Does your smile reflect the real you?

Most communication between you and others is nonverbal.  When you speak, others are not only listening to your words, but also analyzing  your facial expressions, your body movements, and the tone of your voice.  During a conversation the other person is usually looking at your eyes and your mouth.

A healthy mouth and an attractive confident smile is important in your relationship with others, both socially and professionally.  It is true that a smile states who you are.  If you are embarrassed about the appearance of your teeth, and if that prevents you from smiling and expressing your feelings, others may formulate an initial impression of you that may not be true.

Studies show that when two people meet and verbalize, an initial impression of each other is established in the first 30 seconds. Someone may formulate the false impression that you are quiet, shy, introverted, or not interested based on what they perceive as your reluctance to communicate openly or clearly.

Today it is so easy for you to achieve the attractive, confident and friendly smile that you always wanted.  A smile that reflects who you really are.  Invisalign®, the clear nearly “invisible” orthodontic treatment has numerous advantages over the conventional metal braces, bands, brackets, and wires.  Virtually no one will know you are wearing Invisalign®, so you can smile during as well as after treatment.  Dr. Martinich has 23 years of experience in providing orthodontic treatment to children, teens and adults, and also offers Invisalign® to his teenage and adult patients.

InvisalignBy using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign® straightens your teeth right before your eyes.  You change the aligners about every 2 weeks and your teeth will move, little by little, towards the smile you have always wanted.

Invisalign® is comfortable to wear and it does not require you to change your busy lifestyle.  Once treatment is started you will visit Dr. Martinich's office once every month or two to monitor your progress and be given the next series of aligners.

Here is a list of advantages of Invisalign®:

  1. Comfortable to wear.  The clear somewhat flexible plastic aligners do not irritate the mouth's lips, cheeks and gums like metal bands, brackets and wires can.
  2. Nearly invisible.
  3. Removable.  You can continue to eat your favorite foods without restrictions.
  4. Healthier teeth and gums.  Since the aligners are removable you can continue to brush and floss your teeth as normal.  Research has also shown that gum tissue health may actually improve with the use of Invisalign® aligners during your orthodontic treatment.
  5. An average Invisalign® course or treatment takes about a year.

There are some limitations for using Invisalign®.  Some bite corrections can only be fully corrected by using conventional braces.  Patients need to have fully-erupted second molars. This commonly occurs between the ages of twelve and fourteen.

Hundreds of thousands of people have already benefited from healthier attractive smiles through orthodontics and  Invisalign®.  Contact Dr. Martinich to see if Invisalign® can work for you.
